Hello, I’m Michael, and I’ve been a founding member at New Beginnings since its founding in 2019. I am married to my College Sweetheart, Renee. We have one son, Andrew, who lives in Texas with his wife and our grandson and baby granddaughter.
I love to interact with people, watch sports (especially college football), enjoy traveling, and love a good mystery. I have written a number of songs, and I also write children’s stories based on the stories I used to create for my son at bedtime when he was young.
It is my honor to shepherd the wonderful group of individuals at New Beginnings. I have never been part of a more loving congregation than we have right here in our church body. Although we’re all from multiple backgrounds, we have a wonderful family atmosphere and are continually being changed by God’s grace. We welcome you to come be a part of what God is doing in our lives. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Hi, I’m Nan, and I’ve been part of New Beginnings since its inception in October 2019.
As Administrative Pastor at New Beginnings, I perform a myriad of admin and management functions — from being responsible for the communication to our members to managing finances, paperwork, and reports.
I enjoy teaching on Wednesday evenings as well as pastoral care and discipleship to others. I also lead prayer on Saturday evenings, when we pray for the services and ministries within our church and the community at large.
Most importantly, I am a child of the King! For that, I am eternally grateful. By God’s grace, I raised the four children with which He gifted me. I am so thankful for my children, their spouses, and my seven grandchildren!
In my free time, I enjoy using my artistic gifts in creating greeting cards with stamps and different coloring mediums.
I am grateful for the opportunity to use my gifts and talents for God’s glory and the building up of His church at New Beginnings!

Hi, I’m Duke! I have been a Charter Member at New Beginnings since its founding in 2019. I currently serve as Lay Pastor and lead our Teens and Young Adults group. I also co-lead our “Called to Serve” Table Tennis Ministry with Pastor Don.
I am married with three kids and five grandkids. Some of my hobbies include playing tennis, table tennis, and smoking & BBQing meat. I also love taking extra care of my lawn & garden.
It is truly my passion to spread the light of Christ in the Mount Morris area!
Pastor Bob Phillips

Hello, my name is Bob Phillips. I currently serve as our Adult Sunday School teacher. I also help out with the sound, and from time to time, I will fill the pulpit.
I'm a graduate of Grace Bible Institute and Seminary and have a Bachelor's in Religious Education and Theology. I've been married for 31 years and have two boys, 27 and 22.
My hope is that whether I'm teaching a Sunday School class or preaching a sermon, I am able to help you feel the need for a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior.

Bella Joseph
Nursery Director
Hi, I'm Bella. I have been a part of NBMC for three years. My job as Nursery Director is to provide dependable, safe, and nurturing care to the children while at church. I love to interact with children through games, stories, play, and prayer. I also teach elementary children on Wednesday evenings.
I previously worked in the children’s area at the Sloan Museum for two years. I am also excited that we have recently redone the nursery, adding new toys, books, games, and movies based on Bible stories.
I am a member of the Flint Symphony Chorus and an avid reader.
